Well, I guess that I should catch up with my week. I didn't realise that it has been over 7 days since my last entry. In my defence, I have felt like shit, had exams to do and have had pressure from the company I do research for to complete more work than I wanted to do. Anyhoo, here is my week and I will try to be brief as long diary entries tend to be boring:

Righty-ho. Woke up on Sunday feeling like shite and flew up to Edinburgh airport with Phoe so that she could give her presentation to the police there. It's a great place actually; based in a castle with it's own loch. We were due to come back on Monday and my first exam was on Tuesday. I made all the right noises by taking several books with me in order to revise. I just couldn't tho. I like to lie down and write stuff when I revise (and wander around scratching my arse - you know the kind of thing). It was too cramped on the plane and I had to attend the presentation and socialise with everyone there (hell, they paid for me to be there so it was the least I could do!) I find Scottish accents very sexy so it wasn't hard to sit there in a room full of big Scots men allowing them to buy us drinks all night. Heaven in fact!

There was a weird experience - this week seems to be full of them - just after a dramatic part of Phoe's presentation a huge set of double doors opened slowly and dramatically as though someone grand had just made an entrance. The trainers jumped up to shut them and couldn't understand how they opened as they were so heavy and needed the handle turned for opening. Apparently the place is haunted (woooooOOOOOooooooooo)

Next day we flew back and were driven from the airport in a taxi covered in English flags driven by a man wearing t-shirt material shorts and with a leg that kept shaking violently. I was bloody glad to get home I can tell you.

Had to revise like hell when we got back and I could feel my health seriously failing. My head was all muzzy, I couldn't breathe and I couldn't retain any knowledge. We discussed whether I had good enough cause to miss the exam. I decided that I wasn't that lucky and revised anyway. The next day I attended the exam and was quite surprised that I had been able to retain quite a bit of information and I think I did ok. My next and final exam was to be on Thursday.

Unfortunately, the company I do research for needed 2 days of research doing to be finished on Thursday which meant that I couldn't spend Wednesday revising, I had to go out and spend the day knocking on doors asking a variety of fucking morons if they would like to tell me their opinions of the area. I call them morons as 90% of the people who opened the door told me that they had loads of opinions about shit but didn't want to spend 15 minutes telling me them but they did want to moan at me about things in general. SO FUCKING ANSWER THE QUESTIONAIRE AND MAKE IT OFFICIAL YOU STUPID FUCKING CRETIN! I wandered around for 5 hours and got 4 surveys out of the 12 I was meant to get. I then had a call from my supervisor stating that they were in trouble and absolutely needed both sets of 12. I almost wept. They gave me an extra day and told me to forget about the quota and just to go for numbers. I managed to get 7 and knew that I would have to go back out after my exam on Thursday.

I felt like utter shit - all of the plates I had been spinning were starting to fall and everything was crumbling around me and my health was getting worse. I had entered several houses looking grey and coughing like a dying plague victim. Fortunately the people who had invited me in had been nice and given me water (and probably wondered whether they should call an ambulance).

I'm gonna leave this catch up entry here and start a part 2 I reckon. It'll go on for ever otherwise
